Earth
Taiki rubbed his head as he pulled himself back to his feet. "What the hell was that?"
Jadeite grinned slightly and motioned to the four figures lying unconscious on the floor. "That ... was the Soul Door." He glanced down at the green chalk on his hands and sighed. "At least this time it's not paint and blood."
Taiki ran over to the four figures and quickly checked them for injuries. Once he was sure they were all okay, he allowed himself to relax and realize that it had worked. The Shitennou had actually created a door that allowed them to pull their other selves from Gaea. He brushed the hair out of Shi's face and smiled. "Too bad we didn't have copies of the others as well."
Jadeite nodded, kneeling beside the redhead. "Yeah, but now that we have these two here, they can help us create a portal back to there." He then frowned slightly. "But no other version of me. What happened to this world's Jadeite?"
"I don't know. Mi-ko-chan won't talk about it," Taiki replied. He frowned when his communicator started beeping. He flipped it open, frowning even more when he recognized the origin of the signal as Jinia's house. "Kakyuu? Is everything alright?"
"No, it's not. We can't find Rsin anywhere!"
"What? She was with you in the car, I put her there myself."
"I know. And she was sitting right beside me until two minutes ago when she just suddenly vanished. Taiki ... have you ever asked Naru-san if she was a ..."
Taiki sighed. "No, I didn't. I didn't think she could be. She probably just ... kuso. I'll be there in a-"
"Dema!"
The redhead turned as a green-haired five-year old came running out from behind one of the tables. Taiki was knocked backwards as Rsin tackled him.
Jadeite started chuckling and picked up the communicator. "It's okay, Princess, Rsin is here."
"There?! But, how?!" Kakyuu's voice could be heard telling the others what was going on before sighing. "Jade, where is there? Are you boys still at the hall?"
"Just finishing up some last minute cleaning. Don't worry, we still have plenty of time to join the kids." Jadeite chuckled slightly as he handed the communicator back to Taiki, then reached down to help Rsin stand. "Why did you come here, little one? And how did you get here?"
Rsin grabbed the blond's hand and smiled. "Don't you remember? You called me."
Jadeite stared at the little girl in shock as she went from being green-haired with yellow eyes to being a blonde with green eyes. "You're ... you are me?"
Taiki promised to bring the young girl home as soon as he was done, watching in amazement as her hair and eyes changed colors. "Guess that explains why we couldn't tell who Jadeite was. We never thought about it being you, kiddo."
Rsin grinned slightly. "I heard him call me, so I came. I knew you would be here, so it wouldn't be scary."
Jadeite chuckled a little. "Good thing we got the decorations down before you got here, then." He motioned to the four figures lying behind Taiki and grinned. "Recognize those two, Rsin-chan?"
Looking at the figures on the floor, the young girl nodded. She let go of Jadeite's hand and walked over to the closest one. As she knelt beside Miyo, her eyes and hair changed back to their normal colors. "I thought they weren't coming back," she replied as she lightly touched Miyo's gloved hand.
"The boys found a way to bring them home," Taiki replied, smiling slightly. "Now we just have to find a way to open the door for the others."
Gaea
"They what!?"
"Vanished. From right in front of us."
"But that's not possible, the wards were all still firmly in place, they couldn't have teleported out."
"It wasn't teleporting, it was more like ... something sucked them into it."
Haruka hugged the black-haired singer from behind and could feel the other woman's body start shaking. "They're okay, Kou, I'm sure of it."
Seiya leaned against the blonde and tried to force herself to relax. After the twins vanished, Haruka had come running into the meeting room and immediately alerted any guard she passed. The palace was searched from top to bottom as were the ships overhead. There was no sign anywhere in the passageway of who or what had taken them. "It couldn't have been ... her again, could it?"
Yaten shook her head. "No, it couldn't have been. Nephlite said that there was no way she could have survived."
Rosalind sighed, running her hand through her hair. "Dysnomia is looking to see if she can find out what happened, but ... there is nothing that can break Imari's wards."
"Except the twins." Yaten frowned slightly as she glanced around the passageway. "The last time, when Shi brought Miyo into the palace, it broke every single ward she had in place, right?"
Rosalind nodded. "But there isnt anything like that this time. No drawings on the floors, no residue, nothing." She glanced over at the redheaded alien that had been right beside the twins. "Did you see or hear or smell anything?"
Niicaus shook his head slightly. "There was no noise, just ... the air around them seemed to bend for a moment, then enveloped them. It all happened so fast, I ... I don't think they even knew what was happening."
Haruka felt Seiya's legs giving out and let them both sink to the floor as they listened to the others talking. She glanced up a few minutes later as a white-haired woman came running into the hallway and tensed. The Time Guardian's face was undreadable.
Eris looked around the hallway, finally spotting Seiya and Haruka sitting against the far wall. Ignoring the others, she walked straight over to them and knelt beside the black-haired woman. "They're okay. I can't tell exactly how it was done, but ... they went back to your world. Something or someone pulled them back to Earth."
Seiya pulled herself free from the blonde's grasp to hug the white-haired woman. "They went home? But how could they have ...?"
"The Shitennou." Yaten smiled slightly. "That was how Shi got Miyo into the palace, by using some spell they had learned when they were Shitennou. They are the only ones that could have done it."
Earth
"Never ever ever again."
Shi smiled slightly at her twin as the older girl rubbed at her head. "Aw, what's the matter, Mi-chan, you didn't like the door I made for you?"
Miyo glared at her twin. "No, but it was our only choice at the time. That doesn't mean that I was quite ready for this idiot to try and do it to me again."
Nephlite frowned at her. "Fine. Next time you get stranded in an alternate dimension, I'll leave you there."
Taiki chuckled slightly at the bickering warriors. "You know guys, we can sit here arguing all night, or we can go tell the others that you're back. Even if we couldn't bring all of you back just yet."
"That may be a good thing. There are more of us to bring back now," Shi replied. "And I don't think the babies would have fared well on that little trip."
Taiki frowned. "Bab-ies? When I left, it was just Kaish who was expecting. What's been going on over there?"
Miyo grinned as she pulled herself to her feet. "Let's just say we should be glad Aunt Minako doesn't have all the same powers as Aunt Pandora." She reached down to help the blonde to her feet. 'I don't think we should tell him yet. Not until we find a way to bring them all home.'
'Agreed. It would only break his heart to lose her again.' Shi flashed a small smile to her sister, then turned to face the redhead. "Where's Rei-chan? And is what Aunt Kaish told us true?"
"That depends, what did your Aunt Kaish tell you?" Taiki asked, raising an eyebrow.
"That Urani was still alive."
"Are you having fun, Rei-chan?"
"I guess."
"What's wrong?"
Rei glanced up at the blue-suited warrior beside her and sighed. She hated not being able to see her brother's face, but was glad that she was in the same group he was. "I ..."
Urani smiled a little behind his mask and knelt beside the younger Ranger. "Do you want to go home? I'm sure the others will understand."
"No, I ... I want to-" She was interruped by the arrival of five more Rangers a short distance away from their little group. Three of them she recognized as the costumes the Shitennou had been wearing, but the other two she had never seen before. "Who are they?"
'Rei-chan? Where are you?'
Rei immediately started pulling her brother toward the two new figures. "Come on, it's them!"
"Them, who, Rei-chan?" Urani frowned slightly as he was pulled toward the blue and pink caped figures. As they got closer, he saw them remove the helmets and immediately recognized both of them. "Miyo! Shi!"
Miyo started laughing as the small black-suited figure nearly tackled her. "Hello Rei-chan."
Shi grinned as a blue-suited warrior stopped a few steps away. Even though she couldn't see his face, she knew who was inside the costume. "Hello ... 'Rani."
"Why did you insist on us wearing these costumes again?" Shi asked, warily eyeing her own pink cape.
Zoisite grinned. "Because you laughed at ours."
Jadeite chuckled as the two blondes started throwing candy at each other. "Because we thought it would be a good way to sneak up on the others. We forgot little miss telepath over here would immediately find the others, no matter what they were wearing."
Miyo nodded, pulling Rei and Urani into yet another hug. "That's right, I can." She was seated on the couch in Kakyuu & Taiki's house, with the younger girl in her lap and her brother between her and her twin. The blonde joined in the hug and Miyo grinned. "So now that we're here ... long do you say we have until the others start arriving?"
"The way Tsuki was acting, I thought they'd beat us here," Shi replied.
Zoisite chuckled. "She probably would have ... if she knew where we were."
Miyo frowned. "We're in her mother's house, how can she not know?"
Urani blushed slightly. "Because I told her we were going to the mansion."
"You sneaky boy." Shi hugged him again, then grinned down at Rei. "Have you been terrorizing him in our absence, Rei-chan?"
Rei nodded. "Him and Hiko, too."
"Hiko? Who's Hiko?"
"He's our little brother." Rei giggled at the looks on the older girls' faces. "He's Kara's son with some other lady."
Urani made a disgusted noise in his throat. "Murikaz is definitely not a lady."
"Murikaz!? That good-for-nothing Hrrrrunai-" Shi clamped a hand over her mouth. 'Gomen, but she ... she made Dema's life a living hell right after you ... wait ... little brother? As in, younger? Younger than Rei-chan?'
'Yes. He just turned four a couple of months ago.' Urani flashed an image of Hiko into both of the older girl's minds. "Hiko is asleep right now, or I'd go get him. He'll just have to wait until tomorrow to meet his big sisters." He glanced up at the sound of voices from the next room and chuckled. "Looks like they found us."
"Indeed we did, young man. Just where do you get off telling us that you were taking them back to the mansion, then hiding them from us?" Tanetomi grinned at the four siblings on the couch, then nearly tripped over her own feet trying to get over to them to hug them.
Behind her, Tsuki hesitated, only moving closer to the older girls when Mi-ko and Kai both prodded her forward. "I ... didn't tell the others yet, just ... just these three, Kari and Sami. Sami ... went to look for Shirou. And Kari ... went to tell Dema."
Shi stood from the couch and pulled the younger redhead into a hug. "They'll know soon enough. But right now, family is best." The blonde started laughing when both Kai and Mi-ko joined the hug. "Wow, you'd think we were missed or something."
"Or something," Jadeite replied, grinning. He glanced at the other two Shitennou, then grabbed his helmet. "Well, ladies ... and Rani ... we're off to find our little Ninja buddies. Don't wait too long to tell the others you're back."
Urani nodded his thanks as the girls shifted from one hug to the other. He watched the girls for a long moment before asking, "Where is Dema? and Uncle Yaten? and Aunt Kaish? Are ... are they okay?"
The teenagers immediately stopped chatting as they looked to the twins, hopefully. Miyo sighed. "They're fine. The Shitennou were only able to pull us through. But there are more Kinmokunai there, more StarLights. They think they can use one of the ships to reopen the link between here and there." She noticed their faces fall slightly and used her telepathy to show Kai and Mi-ko their father. "They'll be home as soon as they can, I promise."
"So this is where all my warriors are hiding, rather than being outside, enjoying this holiday." Kakyuu smiled at the teenagers as she carried a sleepy four-year-old over to the couch. "He heard Kari arrive and just had to come meet his big sisters."
Hiko immediately latched on to Shi and hugged her. "I don't care what the woman in the metal chair says, you're still my sister."
